THE DAME DEMANDS ACTION FROM NICE MR HOLGATE

A couple of years ago the Dame worked hard to persuade the leader of the Council, Sir Pooter Cockell, that he needed to rid himself of Cllr Barry Phelps, a one time chairman of the Planning Committee with multiple offshore accounts and former Mayor of the Royal Borough.
Why was the Dame so trenchant in her demand?
Well, one of her informants had provided her with a series of email images which Barry had sent around to his friends featuring under age boys with salacious captions.
PHELPS TOOK THIS INNOCENT IMAGE AND CAPTIONED IT TO INFER
THE TWO BOYS WERE ATTEMPTING TO HAVE SEX. PHELPS SENT OTHER
SIMILARLY VILE AND PERVERTED EMAILS USING THE RBKC SERVER

Cockell did not want to act on the advice of the Dame.
It was only when the Dame informed Notting Hill Police that Sir Delboy Myers overruled Pooter and insisted on the head of Phelps.

So what has this to do with the current Chief Executive, the nice Nicholas Holgate?

The Dame has provided him with irrefutable evidence that a council contractor was selected in the most unorthodox of ways and that the boss of the Compassion contractor, Frameworks4Change, Andy Bradley, is inextricably linked with the sinister Brahma Kumaris cult: so linked that he uses their facilities for training purposes.
But, if Holgate took the trouble to read the copious comments on the Hornet stories he would see that participants believe Bradley to be unqualified and a figure of ridicule.

Councillors should take this seriously....it will not go away and the Hornet will pursue Bradley until the right thing is done and his services axed.
Mr Holgate, you are Chief Executive.
Do your job....investigate and admit a mistake has been made.

    1. This was Phelps favourite expression. Is this his blog?

  2. The images were provided to the Dame by a very shocked and disgusted gay couple whose complaints to the council were ignored.

    1. Thank goodness we have the Dame to take up the concerns of K&C residents.

    2. Whatever happened to the RBKC Labour Group?
Thought they were meant to be in Opposition with a responsibility to hold the Ruling Party to account.
      More deafening silence as usual!

  3. Just in case Andy Bradley; Nicholas Holgate; Framwork4Change or RBK&C attempts to deny there is no connection to the Brahma Kumaris, I enclose a copy of a Twitter Exchange I found on AB's timeline dated 26 Oct 2012

Someone is covering for someone. The mark of a Chief Executive is to act decisively. Officers around him (many of whom read this blog) are seeing weakness. Which they will exploit. Mr Holgate seems to be losing his grip.

  5. This is Pooter style behaviour. No doubt some supporter of the bonkers sect works in Hornton Street and decided to give or her mates a bung. But you cannot do this in public life using tax payers money. There are processes that need to be followed. Unfortunately Cllr Cockell set an example and continues to do so (sitting as a Councillor while at the same time working for consultants in a sales capacity seeking Council business) and of course many in Hornton Street have come to believe that this is OK behaviour

  6. Then death-knell for honesty & integrity within the Royal Borough

  7. As ever, RCE is perfectly correct. The same can be said about the new council leader. There's no one at the helm.

Nevertheless, beware of Moylan. Now his estuary airport major income source has been sunk, he'll be waiting in the shadows to pounce on RBKC.
